christmas baby name
I am having a baby sometime around christmas (due dec 26th)
What spelling do you like better??
Mary Noelle
Merry Noelle
Mary Noel
Merry Noel
ETA:
I think I agree with most of you about Mary Noelle. My first thought though was that Mary was just a little too boring, but Merry is really just over-the-top themish even if it is unique.
My other kids names are kind of old fashioned too.
I have a:
Adrian Dean
Daniel John Paul
Joan Ave Marie
I am totally inlove with the thought of having the two girls have old fashioned names with the same number of letters, because Adrian and Daniel have the same number of letters too, and my husband and I have the same number of letters (Paige and Jason). If for some reason this baby ends up being a boy I want to continue the theme and have all boys names have 6 letters.

Or Yule Log. Nova Anna for a Jan 1 baby.
Valentine for a Feb 14 baby.
Etc.
I say this as a December 27 baby who would have hated Mary Noelle with a passion.

And, actually, Valentine is a perfectly "normal" name.

The first name is the only one that consists of two actual girls' names. So, Mary Noelle.

mary is nice, so is noelle. noel is pretty masculine to me and i'm just not feeling 'merry' at all.

I vastly prefer Mary to Merry.

I think with your Catholic naming pattern in the past that it works very well with your other children's names. I remember they all had Catholic roots to them.

Since Noelle is the more feminine version of the name, I like it better. Mary Noelle is really pretty. :)

I see you've already chosen, but I'd have also picked Mary Noelle.
if you go two weeks over (into january), will you keep the name or pick a different one?

I prefer Noel since that is how the Christmas version is spelled. There's a girl in our church whose b-day is near Christmas named Noel, and she collects things that say Noel, which is really cool.

Now I am against theme names it's just to me dumb.
But Mary Noelle is the best out of them all.

I don't know if I'd use Merry around the Christmas season, but I dislike Mary and LOVE Merry. Well, I like Merrie best. It's a totally different name to me just with that different spelling.

For that reason alone I'd go for Mary - and I *adore* Noelle.
What a fantastic idea!! :)

By the way, I love your other children's names.
