Logan
How did Logan suddenly become such a popular name for boys (and unfortunately now girls)? All I think of when I hear the name Logan is the Babysitters Club... I just think "dude, that's Mary Anne's boyfriend!" Has there been a TV character or something called Logan in the past few years? I see this name on lists ALL the time. I don't like it at all. It reminds me of... something. I can't pinpoint what it sounds like, though. It sounds so babyish though.

I actually did like Logan but it has become way too popular for my taste.

Or any other horrible geek name he comes across -_-;
Although I will admit I did grow to love the name Felicia thanks to Felicia Hardy (the Black Cat)

It comes from the name Alice and an old french pet name suffix (it is what the name marion, ala maid marion comes from too).

At 32, I was a bit old for those books when they came out, but it seems to me that women in their 20s were probably at the perfect age when they were young to eat up that whole series.

Also, if you look at the data, this name began climbing in the 70s but really took off in the late 80s/early 90s. I really think Gilmore girls and especially Veronica Mars are too recent to be crediting with the trend in general (though for a few of the recent babies, it might have been a factor). I don't know anything about X-men and if or how that would influence parents. But given the time frame, Babysitter's Club makes a lot more sense as a specific influence outside of style-trends in general.
