Help needed!

I just got a new kitten. I need a name for him. :)

I adopted him from my sister, who breeds siamese. They named him Rocky after his daddy because he looks like him. But I'm allowed to change the name, lol. I'm not sure if he would fall under lilac, chocolate, or blue point. He's very light and mostly gray but with dark brownish gray points. I've been calling him Lonely Boy lately since he misses his family and has been whining lately. :( He's not yet gotten used to the other cats and is mostly just watching and observing my older siamese cat, Meezy. Kind of distancing himself, though. He's very sweet and likes to cuddle when he's sleepy but he has been wanting to wander since he got here.

Just let me know any suggestions you may have. :)

Here are a list of my interests for reference:

Harry Potter
The Chronicles of Narnia
A Series of Unfortunate Events
CATS
Wicked
Phantom of the Opera
Les Miserables
Beauty and the Beast
RENT

Mythology of all kinds.
French and English names.

Things I'm trying to avoid:

Insanely cutesy or pretentious-sounding names.
Typical pet names (i.e. names that everyone uses for their pets).

♥ Thanks. :)

The first thing that popped in my head was "Sebastian" but I think you should definitely name him Roger. :)

My top three pet names are:
Roger
Hex
and Purdy (for a girl, obviously.)

Aaaawww he is soooo cute!!!! I love him!!!! My kitty Spice, (in the icon) is part Siamese, though its mostly in his meow. He also has some tabby in him. His brother Pepper is part tabby, part mountain lion (kidding...he's just huge).

I suggest...

Calvin Furrybum the Great
Luz (although kinda fem)
Louis (aaw Meezy and Louis!)

Radio, just because I knew a cat named Radio once and I'd never use the name myself since the person isn't my friend now and it'd be a bit awkward since I knew of Radio.

I tend to go with anomalies that fit for a reason, usually, but not always. I have a cat named Globe who is now called Zobe and a cat named Gatito. My cat Globe actually earned that name.

Anyway, as a disclaimer, I give my pets human names a lot of the time and I love my pets like they were kids...but I would NEVER name a human anything like Radio, Globe, etc. Just to be clear. :) After all, animals don't really know words or names apart from anything else except because they are repeated. You don't have to worry about them getting made fun of. ;)

looks like chocolate or seal points to me. he is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!

Weird, when i first saw your kitty, and references, the name "Gaston" popped into my head. the only place i could think I've ever heard that is Beauty and the Beast. but then i looked up Phantom of the Opera, and it's the author's first name. maybe i knew that somewhere in my brain.
Other suggestions I like:
Raoul (from Phantom)
Victor and/or Hugo (FN/LN of author of Les Mis)
Valjean
Marius

He looks like a Marius, and since you like Les Mis, it seems fitting.

I avoid "human names" for my pets, basically because someday you may be-friend (or even worse date) someone with THAT name... = awkward.

I am the proud owner of 3 kitties & 1 dog right now, and all have "god/goddess" names = Nike, Chantico (Tico), Luna & Zephyr. My lil' boy kitten is named "Zephyr"... I personally love it.

For your new baby, I'd LOVE "Zeus"... :)!

So true. I named my rat Barnaby, because I love it, but... hello, Barnaby?

I met a kid named Zephyr the other day. True fact.

I'd name him Noodles... but that really had nothing to do with and of the interests you listed... I just think Noodles is a good name for a cat.

So, have you come up with a name for him yet? Let me know when you decide; I want to know what the final verdict is!
