What do you think of these names?
Nov. 5th, 2006 06:18 pmHello... I don't know whether or not I'm pregnant (my husband and I are "not trying, not preventing" -- long explanation for this, that I don't really feel like going into at the moment...it's all over at my private lj if you're interested), but if I am we definitely want to name our first child after my mother, who was diagnosed in August with terminal lung cancer, and my grandfather who passed away in early September from a massive heart attack. I'd really like some opinions about the names that we've chosen. These are our definite choices, so if your opinions are negative, please comment them tastefully and tactfully, or not at all. Thanks in advance.
For a girl: Aurora-Cinda Elizabeth, Hebrew name Sarah. Her nickname will be Rory. Aurora-Cinda is Latin, and it means "Cindy's dawn." Elizabeth is for my granddad.
For a boy: Cohen Edward, Hebrew name Seth. His nickname, if anything, will be Eddie -- off of Edward -- though we probably won't be shortening this name. Cohen would obviously be for my mom, and Edward for my granddad.
Our last name is 10 letters, two words, and it sort of rhymes. It's Italian in origin. We know that if we have a daughter first, her name is going to be really long, but we're okay with that.
Again, thanks in advance.
