French names

I met a family from France today and the children were named:
Charlotte
Clemence (Clay-mohnce... the "n is very soft)
Etienne  (Ay-tee-ehn)

They were lovely.  What are your favorite french names, and which ones do you hate?

I don't think Millau is used as first name, is it? I'm pretty sure it's just a town... :/

yes, Millau is a town.
But the question was which French names do you like and since i loved the name Millau due to the French city, i figured it is a French name. :)

As much as Dayton or Portland is an American name, which I suppose one could argue. I guess you seek Brooklyn all the time.
