Sutton Pierce, I mean, Jayden James Federline

According to People, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have named their second son Jayden James, and not Sutton Pierce as previously believed.

So, thoughts? I don't like the double Jay sound at the beginning of both names, but the fact that it doesn't alliterate with Sean Preston makes it a billion times better in my book.

I've had Sutton on my top names list for quite some time so I was appalled to hear that she had used it. I'm glad it's not his real name, because then I would surely never use it, but I think the name is probably ruined for me anyway because now there will still be little Suttons popping up everywhere. Sucky.

Sutton is classier. I love alliterative sibsets - me and my sister are one of those sibsets.

I'm not a fan of either name, but I like Sutton better, and it seems classier.


Sean is a really trashy name to me, and Jayden would match that.

Maybe it's by association all these years, knowing Seans. I just think it looks trashy. Hard to describe why. It's just really slimy to me.

Shaun is classy to me, and Shawn is cute and fun. But Sean = slimy to me. Spelling matters A LOT to me for imagery of a name.

Anything is better than Sutton Pierce. It sounds like she got it off of a soap opera. I'm not a huge fan of Jayden, but I love Jay for a nickname. James is incredibly nice.

i prefer jayden. i don't really like the name, but i HATE sutton- it just makes me think of mutton. and the matching initials thing would have been kinda sad.

You do realise that "Shaun" and "Shawn" were made up because Americans couldn't pronounce the correct, original spelling, "Sean", right? I find the fact that you think Sean is trashier than Shawn hilarious. That's like saying Katie is trashier than C'he'ighteeigh.

I could care less their origin. I like them better and it's my opinion about what I think is trashier. It's just the way it is. I don't care what they are and are not. That has nothing to do with trashiness to me.

I'm just saying, I don't care where they came from because in the category of "Is this trashier" questions, origin doesn't matter to me. It's association, spelling and sound.
