According to People, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have named their second son Jayden James, and not Sutton Pierce as previously believed.

So, thoughts? I don't like the double Jay sound at the beginning of both names, but the fact that it doesn't alliterate with Sean Preston makes it a billion times better in my book.

You could care less? So how much do you care, if you could actually care less about the origin of the names Sean, Shawn, Shaun and *ahem* Shahn?

I'm glad you're not taking this incredibly seriously. And, "I like them better and it's my opinion, it's just the way it is, I don't care" is a pretty effective way of debating a point, I must say.

I'm not debating anything. I'm stating my opinion.

Why are you picking a fight? "I could care less" is an expression too, you know.

I'm just saying, I don't care where they came from because in the category of "Is this trashier" questions, origin doesn't matter to me. It's association, spelling and sound.

"I could care less" is an incorrect expression. It makes no sense. It's a common malapropism.

I'm not picking a fight, I just find someone arguing that a name that is truly trashy, one of the first trashy misspellings, in fact ("Shaun/Shawn"), is classier than the original of that name ("Sean") hilarious.

And sound? How does Shaun sound different to Sean?

The fact that it doesn't make sense (which I agree with) has nothing to do with whether it is or is not an expression. Its correctness is not relevant - it still is an expression.

I'm not arguing! I'm not trying to convince anyone! I was just having a conversation about it. It's my opinion - it's neither right nor wrong. It's just an opinion. Shawn has become an American way of spelling it. It's become its own version, its own name, and I don't think its a "misspelling." Are you sensitive about the name? Sorry if I offended. I'm just saying - my opinion is my opinion and it's not going to change. Sean to me looks trashy. All of the versions sound trashy. I'm not a fan of the name.

I think Shaun/Shawn look classier than Sean. It's my opinion. OPINION. You are not right - I am not right.

That's YOUR OPINION. Which makes it totally okay to say, you see. Doesn't matter what you say - just so long as it's YOUR OPINION, then it's a) not open to debate and b) automatically correct! HURRAY!

I didn't say I was correct. And I wasn't arguing about it until you got your nose into it.

This is it; I'm done with this conversation.

Did you seriously just call someone you don't know a twat on livejournal because you disagree with them about a name?

Yes, complete boredom and searching for LULZ will do that to a person. You should see the other drama I cause.

I think that someone who would argue "It's okay to use "could care less"! It's an EXPRESSION!" would definitely be someone who would claim that "Shawn is a common name! It's okay to use it! It's even CLASSY!". Your opinion is your opinion, and you have a right to it - doesn't make it correct. Anyone can have an opinion. Some of them suck.

Shawn being a common name is not opinion. And classier does not always equal classy.

Opinions are not right or wrong.

QUOTE: "Shaun is classy to me"

That is what you said.

Just now, though, you said, QUOTE: "And classier does not always equal classy"

WELL IS IT FUCKIN' CLASSY OR NOT?

Actually, the expression is "couldn't care less". "Could care less" is just something morons have begun saying in the past 20 years or so because they misunderstood the actual expression.
