I met a little girl yesterday named Linden. She was super cute so it kind of made me like the name.

This is from Behind the Name:

Gender: Feminine Usage: English Pronounced: LIN-den

Either from Old English linde "lime tree" or else an elaboration of LINDA

The last time it was in the top 1,000 was 1947 (at 921), so points of uniqueness. But it was apparently used as a boys name, ranking right between Ezekiel and Palmer, go figure.

i used to live on linden street, and it never occurred to me as a name, but i still like it. i like it better than lindley.
