My favorite movie is True Romance and I keep finding myself loving the name of the main female character: Alabama.

Children are not states. (Or cities for that matter). She could go by Allie, but she may not like it. I know a California who goes by Callie and she hates her full name.

I hva a cousin who many, many years ago said she wouls name her daughters Alabama and California. I think she has changed her mind since then though.

ans speaking of babies not being states... Alabama is no worse than Dakota. neither should be placed on a child.

I think Dakota might be worse, even, seeing as it's an extant Native American tribe. :/
