Well, I thought I had my names picked but now I'm wavering. We picked Lillian for a girl name, but now I find myself not liking it at all. My daughter's name is Molly. I love love love the name Molly. So every girl name I look at, I find myself comparing to the name Molly. I just can't find anything as cute. I know it sounds silly, maybe its pregnancy brain talking but I am so frustrated! Anyone else have this problem?

Totally natural. First, I think Molly and Lillian are a little L heavy side by side. I still think Lilly is gorgeous (it's my favorite flower name) but if you had a third daughter you may feel boxed in to another name that highlights LL. I sort of boxed myself into an Italian girl name sibset. Not that I mind, but there were a lot of other names that didn't quite fit that I otherwise might have used. Being this is only your second child you're really free to roam into any name territory without it feeling too mismatched. If however, this is the last child you are having I think Molly and Lily are completely cute together, despite the abundance of L sound.

Ava Dulcea is my eldest daughter. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE her name. Always. It's perfect for me, every name after that had to be held up to her standard. That wasn't always easy. I think that's where you are at.

Edited to include name ideas: I had one suggestion previously, Annelise, but I found so many more thinking about for only a few more minutes. Here are some names I think would be spectacular next to Molly.

Abigail "Abby"
Susan "Suzy"
Kelly
Sophie
Lucy
Alice "Allie"
Annabel
Sadie

I did. I felt like I already picked the best name ever for my first daughter, and had a hard time figuring out a name I loved (that my husband was on board with) for our 2nd.
Once we were in agreement, and the name was picked, I did get just as attached to it as the first one pretty quickly and it just felt right.
We went through a few "almost" names with both our kids before making a final decision. We actually had names picked and agreed on before both pregnancies, but didn't end up using either of them once the pregnancy was real instead of theoretical. I still like those names, but don't regret not using them.
Maybe Lillian just isn't the right one for you.

Also, Molly is super cute and is a name used in a song by my favorite band (Miss Molly by Old 97's). If it were me, her sister is obviously Celeste (reference in the song Timebomb by Old 97's). I think the names are actually great together aside from my dorky fangirling. Celeste is a cool and sophisticated counterpart to Molly's girl next door charm and sweetness. CeCe could be a nickname that's on par with Molly's cuteness. Together they sound like very spirited BFFs.

Anyway, my main point was, if there was a reason you picked Molly beyond sounding cute, maybe going back to that source will lead to finding the right name.
