So my husband and I the other night started to pair up names to see if we could come up with any names that sound good together and to try to narrow our search for a baby girls names sooner. I don't know if it is working because we keep on seeing names that we like but this is what we have so far. And for the record I am not to fond of the name selene but he likes it so eh. *shrugs*

We also like the name Aria but can't really figure out any names to go with it.

No offence. I guess I sounded mad when I put thanks at the end of my comment back.....I didn't mean to sound rude either. =)

Every baby book or internet sight that I have been to has had the meaning for Belladonna as beautiful woman or something close to that. Actually I think the ball and chain and I are going to go with Isis Arianna. But it's good to know what other meanings are out there just incase it ment something else like "buttocks to the maximus" or something like that. ;P

The belladonna plant got it's name because it was used to make women beautiful; extract from the plant was used in medeival times to dilate the eyes of court ladies, and big, wide, dilated eyes was considered to be a very beautiful trait. Nevermind the fact that the dilated eyes made it virtually impossible for these women to actually see...they were HOT!!

Anyhow, that's where it's from. The belladonna plant extract made women beautiful. It's the same chemical that is used today to dilate your eyes when you have an eye exam.
