Dream-induced names
Aug. 14th, 2013 09:43 amA friend of mine, whose husband is East Indian, is pregnant with twin boys and is due any day now. I had a dream that she named her sons Vikram and Nicodemus, aka Vik and Nic. It'll be exciting to find out what names they actually pick IRL! :D
Anyone else ever dream the names of their kids or someone else's? What's the best/wackiest your subconscious has ever come up with?

Date: 2013-08-14 03:51 pm (UTC)I once dreamt that I was having a child with someone of Italian descent, and he insisted on Italian names. He also insisted on picking the first name, so I got the middle. The combination ended up being Carlotta Sofia, which I think is pretty gorgeous together, despite not being a fan of Carlotta in general.
I know that when my sister-in-law was last expecting, before they knew the sex, I had a dream that it was a girl, and they named her Margaret, which was my favorite name at the time, so I was absolutely crushed in-dream that they used it. Margaret still is a favorite, but they have assured me they have no intention of ever using that name. :P
As far as the wacky ones, I know I once dreamed of a boy named Cereal Roberts (first and middle). I'm pretty sure there was once a child named Vacuum as well.
I'm pretty sure I have had more dreams with names in them over the years, but I can't remember, darn it!
