Thoughts on the spelling of Emmalee?

I know it's kinda really jumping over into the realm of kre8tiv which is really somethig i dislike fundamentally but what if the point of it is to use the spelling of "lee" like that to honor a family member? More acceptable under those circumstances? Why do I feel like it sounds almost "country" when spelled Emmalee instead of Emily?

I think Emma Lee makes more sense as well. Smushing them together is just.. Yuck.

Agreed. Make it two separate names over one horrid looking one.
