Out of curiosity...

..and it's somewhat of a debate between fiance and I...

We're planning on naming our first son Calvin. He wants to use the nickname "Cal" and I'd prefer "Vinnie" as "Cal" just reminds me of a dry heave.

So...if you were naming your son Calvin, which nickname would you use?

I actually really like Cal. It sounds very preppy.

Vinnie sounds more like a nn for Vincent. Also, I agree with everyone who thinks it sounds kind of like a mobster name.
