Out of curiosity...

..and it's somewhat of a debate between fiance and I...

We're planning on naming our first son Calvin. He wants to use the nickname "Cal" and I'd prefer "Vinnie" as "Cal" just reminds me of a dry heave.

So...if you were naming your son Calvin, which nickname would you use?

I'd just use Calvin. I think it's short enough to not need a nickname. Maybe "Cal" if I were having a casual moment, but for the most part, he'd be Calvin.
