[identity profile] morphinae.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
So, after waiting for freaking EVER, we're finally sorta TTC (yay!) We've had our names picked out for about a year now, we're all set for a girl, but all of a sudden I kind of fell out of love with our boy pick;

Tristan Calvin...

Calvin is a must, it's my SO's late grandfather, so it stays. I'm just not as excited about Tristan as I used to be...especially with this new trend of people choosing it for their girls for some crazy reason. And now of course I don't like ANYTHING else we think of. I feel sort of luke-warm about Gavin..but not loving it. I tend to favor Irish-type names (or even ones that just kinda sound it), anyone have any suggestions? I don't like super-popular names (so Aiden is out), and I don't like Declan. Also can't use Liam because it's my son's middle name. I know we have plenty of time, considering we don't even have an embryo to name yet (maybe soon though!), but it's fun to choose/discuss nonetheless!

So yeah..any Irish/Scottish/Old English-sounding boy name suggestions? Last name will be Anderson. Thanks in advance :)

If Calvin stays, please don't use Gavin. Gavin Calvin just looks bad.

I agree with the above poster, Tristan is sort of dying down, plus it was mainly overused for girls for some reason anyways, if you truly love the name, go for it. It's not like you're considering Aiden ;)
