What do you think of the sibset Corinne (nn: Wren), Louis (nn Lou) and Penelope?
What's a good nickname for Penelope, besides the obvious Penny?

Also, what do you associate with the name Alina?

As long as the names aren't extremely mismatched, I think pretty much any decent names can go in a sib set together. These three sound fine to me.

Nell
Elle/Ellie
Penna

I like them all--especially Louis. Are you pronouncing that like Lewis or like Loo-ee?

I googled and found some other nn's are Poppy, Nelly/Nellie, Elly/Ellie, Lupe, Pipa/Pip/Piper--I don't know how realistic some are, but that's some that I could find.

I had a client Alina who was a mess, so I don't associate good things with the name, really.

I love Poppy as a nickname for Penelope. I think it's a cute set, wren, Lou and poppy.

I would probably go with Nellie or Ellie for Penelope... you could even do Lola, maybe?

I knew a girl named Alina in high school, she was a friend of a friend. She was nice enough but she was one of those people that was constantly trying to contradict everyone. She was a twin and chopped off all of her hair and wore dark makeup just to look as different from her twin as possible (they didn't look much alike to begin with though, they were fraternal).

Oh, and Alina makes me think of a Russian supermodel, blonde hair and blue eyes.

LOVE all of those names together! I think they are a great sibset. Sorry can't think of any other nickname besides Penny- but I really like it. And Corinne and Wren are both top of my list.

When I think of Alina, I think of my middle name. It's my mom's name too, so I guess it reminds me of motherly types of traits. :-)

I love Penelope!!!
Nell/Nelly/Nella
Loopy (if you were going for a really silly nn) or Lupe
Elle/Ellie
Maybe Poppy, Piper is a bit of a stretch, Pip/Pippa, Pina

Also I really like Alina! I don't really have associations, except a general German/Russian/Ukranian vibe (but maybe I'm confused with Elina who was on ANTM, she was Ukrainan), which I totally love (although apparently it's Armenian meaning light-bearer).

I love Penelope.
It's definitely in my top five list.
Nicknames could be - Nell, Nellie, Polly, Lolly, Poppy, Lo, Lola, Ellie and Pella
I think it's a really cute sib-set.

But I don't like Alina.

A friend of mine calls her Penelope "Ellie".

I had a crazy roommate in college named Alina, but atm I have an awesome coworker named Aline. So, mixed signals. :P

I like it. :) I love Wren, even if it's a nickname. If my daughter were Penelope I'd probably call her Nelly over anything else.

Let's see... Alina... I don't think I've ever heard the name before. I picture a very girly, dark haired girl. And I'm assuming it's pronounced uh-LEE-nuh? I noticed someone above said it reminded them of vanilla so maybe I'm thinking of it wrong?
