Jul. 11th, 2012 04:46 pmWhat do you think of the sibset Corinne (nn: Wren), Louis (nn Lou) and Penelope?
What's a good nickname for Penelope, besides the obvious Penny?
Also, what do you associate with the name Alina?

Date: 2012-07-11 03:09 pm (UTC)I googled and found some other nn's are Poppy, Nelly/Nellie, Elly/Ellie, Lupe, Pipa/Pip/Piper--I don't know how realistic some are, but that's some that I could find.
I had a client Alina who was a mess, so I don't associate good things with the name, really.

Date: 2012-07-11 07:39 pm (UTC)I knew a girl named Alina in high school, she was a friend of a friend. She was nice enough but she was one of those people that was constantly trying to contradict everyone. She was a twin and chopped off all of her hair and wore dark makeup just to look as different from her twin as possible (they didn't look much alike to begin with though, they were fraternal).

Date: 2012-07-13 07:57 pm (UTC)When I think of Alina, I think of my middle name. It's my mom's name too, so I guess it reminds me of motherly types of traits. :-)

Date: 2012-07-14 08:31 am (UTC)It's definitely in my top five list.
Nicknames could be - Nell, Nellie, Polly, Lolly, Poppy, Lo, Lola, Ellie and Pella
I think it's a really cute sib-set.
But I don't like Alina.

Date: 2012-07-19 04:30 am (UTC)Let's see... Alina... I don't think I've ever heard the name before. I picture a very girly, dark haired girl. And I'm assuming it's pronounced uh-LEE-nuh? I noticed someone above said it reminded them of vanilla so maybe I'm thinking of it wrong?
