It's a form of Xenia, so it sounds the same except with a S sound at the front...like Sen-yah kind of.

I grew up in a Russian area so I heard a few people with that name before. Usually I hear the name pronounced with the K sound first, like K'sen-yah

Dakota is cute. I have a friend names Dakota and he's a guy, so I always associated it as a male name, despite everyone knowing Dakota Fanning. But I like it for a girl, more.

Dakota's parents are Native American, we use Dakota on both boys and girls.

Is double barrelling middle names common where you are? In the UK, lots of people have two middles names, or more, but they're not usually double barrelled. Some first names are, though, such as Anne-Marie and John-Paul.

The children with the middle names Thunder-Rain and Crystal-Rose are both First Nations, so this is common to give your child a name be it in english or in their Native language a name that is nature, tribal, animal based.

I guess it just depends on the parents. I'm Canadian and I have two middle names, but alot of people i know only have one middle name and have three or four. Just depends on the parents i suppose.
