Middle name suggestions....what else?

I'm looking for a middle name for Esme. Aside from no creative spellings, anything else goes. It can be kooky, out there, classic, romantic, hippy, trendy, popular, any origins. Since it starts with a vowel the middle name can start with any letter. Any amount of syllables. So basically just let your imaginations run rampant!


Esme is going to be our new back up name replacing every other name on the previous list except for Elsa Fleur which is still our top pick. The others are out for various conflicting reasons. Sophia could be used as a middle name now. But that would be all I have so far. Please, may your lists run long! And as always, thank you! <3 

P.S. In case you haven't seen my last name plastered all over previous posts the name would read out Esme _______ Gibbons.

I like Esme Beatrix a lot, which is surprising. I think I would have scrunched up my nose and made a face at Beatrix before. I'm definitely adding in Beatrix to the favorites.

I love Josephine, Charlotte, and Patricia (my mother's name) but maybe as Patrice instead. If it's gender neutral (sort of)then it covers a couple family members should I go that route. Thanks!!

Elise. Or Rose. Something classic or simple.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of Esme. It's probably because there was a character with that name on at TV show here in Australia when I was a kid, and she was the old, town gossip.

I kind of see it as an old name, up there with Ethel and Edith.

However it may be viewed differently in your part of the world!

I think what you mean by old is "outdated" but even though Ethel and Edith are not my style I still like how Esme sounds, and all those older names seem to be coming back. Not all of them are going to break the top 100 but enough popularity that it won't be considered a stuffy name.

Esme is the nickname for Esmeralda. To me, it feels incomplete to not give the whole name which is Esmeralda. Just my opinion, fwiw. I do LOVE the name Esmeralda and the nickname, Esme though. Just something to consider.

That is one of my favorites. One of the top two now! I have no idea why I didn't pair them up. I just LOVE Elyse, and I would use it as a first name too which is one of my huge selling points as far as middle names go. If I won't use it as a first name (just in case the child hates their given first name) I don't want it as a middle name. The other heavy hitter right now is Esme Adora, I like that the name means "one who esteemed and beloved" So those are my current top two.
