Chardanae reminds me of Futurama's Zap Brannigan, who frequently pronounces words wrong (Cham-pag-in for champagne comes to mind). In my head I hear his voice saying, Char-don-ay. And even without that, who names a child after a drink (assuming it's pronounced like chardonnay Or maybe they named the kid after a grape, but still)? My parents had pets named after liqueurs but never children.
Wow, I have nothing positive about any of it. I hate intentionally rhyming names for siblings. What a pain in the rear.
I agree about the liquor. Do not name your children for food or beverages! It's just....wrong! I think of Where the Heart is where the best friend names all her kids after snack foods: Like Praline and Brownie.
And Messiah and Mi'Anjel? Messiah is a horrible name to give your child. That's an expectation they could NEVER live up to. And Mi'Anjel? Isn't that like a pet name you give your kid, like Sweetie or Pumpkin? My angel...
Oh, yeah the sibling names individually are fine. My niece is named Marla. But she only has brothers. And my SIL would NEVER do that to her kids regardless haha.
In Mexico there was no law that allowed you to change your name. Your name is your name is your name and it doesn't change. Not even in marriage (though you can opt to add "de [last name of groom]. But just a couple of years ago they passed a law changing that so people now can change their name... and they did it on the basis of parents giving their kids really stupid names.
I had a professor in college who's full name was Brandy Champagne. No joke. Her son's name was Ryland (sp?) but she called him Rye (as is Rye Champagne).
I thought this was an odd choice all around. That being said, she was probably my favourite teacher. Not going to lie all of these names made me wince.
I would NEVER (well, intentionally) let my kids have rhyming names. It's just setting them up to be teased by others. I draw the line at same letters for the whole family or ABC names. Chardanae, though an interesting name, reminds me too much of the Boy character and the beverage so a no to that too. As for the last two, Messiah is all right, but how is Mi'Anjel pronounced?

Karla, Marla and Darla might be okay individually, but you put the three together and they sound ridiculous!
