Lylian.

Confirmed it was pronounced Lilian.

Another thing:
I have noticed 2 people I am acquaintances with named their sons "Topher". Not Christopher, just Topher.  Curious about your thoughts on that...

I personally like the spelling of "Lylian".
On to your question, I've never even heard of that name. Not sure I like it myself, I think it would take some getting used to. Who knows though, maybe they have relatives named "Christopher" and they wanted something similar but not exactly the same? I'm all for new spellings and derivations. :)

There is an American actor who goes by Topher Grace, but it is actually a nickname for Christopher

Agreed with this. I think Topher Grace was sort of the inspiration behind people suddenly naming their children Topher... not as a nickname for anything. I'm not a fan regardless.

Yeah, I was guessing that these people are big That '70s Show fans.

If they were a twin, maybe it's Topher One? ;)

I kinda like Topher on its own and I really am not one for nicknames for names.

Lylian is quite a nice spelling, though Lillian/Lily is one of my favourite names anyway :)

Yeah, I don't like that spelling.

I really dislike Topher, as it just makes me think of gophers... Also, I just think it sounds goofy. =/

I like Topher as a nn for Christopher but I don't think it stands very well on its own.

Lylian is... trendy. Lilian FTW.

It's kind if like when I meet a Xander and find out they aren't really an Alexander. It's kind of strange, but I've seen worse.

I find Topher to be kind of cute, but have to agree that it's more of a nickname...

I hate every spelling of Lillian.

I like Topher.

I would read Lylian as Lye-lee-in.

I keep wanting to read it that way, too, haha! =/

I prefer Lillian to lylian.

I'm actually kind of OK with Topher. If people can use Liam or Jack to whatnot by themselves, why not Topher :) The rhyming with Gopher doesn't bother me.
