I recently saw the movie Evita, and I've absolutely fallen in love with the name Eva. My only issue with it is that I have a feeling that most people will pronounce it the Anglicized way, like Eve with an a at the end, rather than the Spanish way, kind of like Ava. To keep the pronunciation that I want, I'm thinking that I should just use Ava, which is already on my list, though I do like Eva.

As a standard disclaimer, children are a long, long way off for me. I'm just really into names (and Evita).

On the opposite, I've never known anyone with the name spelled Eva who pronounced it "ay-vuh"

You know, I've never actually seen Eva Braun's name in print before. Odd, huh?
