I recently saw the movie Evita, and I've absolutely fallen in love with the name Eva. My only issue with it is that I have a feeling that most people will pronounce it the Anglicized way, like Eve with an a at the end, rather than the Spanish way, kind of like Ava. To keep the pronunciation that I want, I'm thinking that I should just use Ava, which is already on my list, though I do like Eva.

As a standard disclaimer, children are a long, long way off for me. I'm just really into names (and Evita).

I tend to want to say, and prefer AY-va. But I accept that most people say it EE-va. Regardless, it's not a name I care much for, so it doesn't matter than much to me. Whatever people want I guess.

I've never heard it like said similar to ever.
