I'm the same way about boys names. I can think of a million girls names that I love,but I have a really hard time finding boys names I like a lot.

I named my daughter Paxton after the lead in Danielle Steele's "Messages from Nam," and she loves her name. People don't really know whether she is a boy or girl or whether that is her first or last name but the fact she is the only one in her school district she doesn't mind.

I went more traditional with my son and named him Jack after his great-grandfather.

My son's name is Xander Paul. If we have another boy his name will most likely be Dominic Russell. I have no idea what we'd name a girl but her middle name will be Adilfa (my mom's name and my middle name). I have dogs named Rags and Nelix.

I guess I am more of a "classic" namer, but a lot of my old favourites became too popular - Ava/Eva, Grace, Sophia (still love! all spellings)

Ok, I'm already prepared to get a lot of hate for one of my sons names.....

As should be obvious by the age difference, I was really young when I had my first. I wanted to name him Kade, but his father/my ex refused. We agreed on Kaden/Caden but since it was a newer thing then and I had never heard of it before, I didn't know how it was spelled. Wish I wouldn't have put the y, but I do like how his name sounds. If I could name him all over again, I would have disregarded his fathers input and gone with Kade. Also, I let his dad pick middle name, hence Alexus. I really hate it bc it makes the name as a whole sound feminine. Oops.

For the record, I'm Sarah Virginia and my husband (father of Dylan) is Matthew Patrick.

I have one daughter, Sophia Grace. She's 14 months.

My husband & I really want all girls (likely only 2 total), and names we like for girls are Stella & Evelyn.

Other girl names I like (but my husband doesn't) are Gabrielle (Our nephew is Gabriel), Olivia & Scarlet.

All the girl names I like are "trendy", but all are names I've liked since before they were "trendy", so I wouldn't feel weird using them.

My favorite boy names are Harrison & Christian. But both are names my husband vetoed, so we have none for a boy.
