Victoria, spelled WIKTORIA on mty bff's 4 year old niece. It's a Polish thing, I guess, but WDYT?

I'm very Polish (75% if you count both sides of the family), but never thought about using a Polish name as my last name is no longer Polish. However, one of my cousins really connects with the Polish heritage and wanted to name is son Wiktor. His wife was concerned that people would keep mispronouncing it, so they settled on Viktor.

Because of that, I guess I've kind of gotten used to the W for a V in Polish names, but think it sounds better if you have a Polish last name, and that parents should be aware that they and their child will constantly be telling people how to pronounce it.
