Character names....

I'm writing a story and these are a list of the character names (well the kids at least):

that's an awful lot of characters... i thought in successful story writing you were supposed to limit to about 10-12 main characters, and you've got 22 with just kids? sorry, i know that isn't what you asked about! :P

i agree that robert ryan doesn't fit as well in that sibling family. and jennifer erica kind of sticks out too. the rest of the names are pretty and less common. maybe meagan riley would fit better in that family...?
