In Italy it would Ah-day-LAH-ee. It looks like it's missing -de, though (Adelaide). Or *shudders*, someone wanted to be creative with the name Adele, which in italian would be pronounced Ah-DEH-leh.
I thought it was a corruption of Adlai, which is a male name said ad-lie so I would have said ad-uh-lie, but a quick search of Adelai reveals people saying it ad-uh-lay.
