(no subject)

WDYT of Posey?

Could it stand alone as a name?
Or as a nick name for Josephine?

I think it's quite lovely =]

No one who isn't British and of a certain age will get this, but it makes me think of the Flumps (http://www.thechestnut.com/flumps.htm).

I like it as a nickname but not as a proper name.

I think it's very sweet but still kind of spunky (I associate the name with Parker Posy). I'm not sure how well it would "fit" say a 40 year old woman, so I like it more as a nickname. Josephine would be great.

I like it as well. It's got a certain sass to it that's endearing.

I also like it as a nickname for Josephine. :)

I've never really considered this name before, but...I think I kind of like it.

I used to like Josephine, but not so much anymore.

It's cute, but almost too cute - it would work well for a child, but I don't know about an adult.

I had never considered it before. Even with my immense love of Parker Posey, I never thought it could make a name.

But now, seeing it...I think I really like it.

I do not like it. At all.

I think it's really cute, but it wouldn't age well so it's best as a nickname. It seems like a bit of a stretch for Josephine, but at the same time, it still somehow works.

I didn't know that, although it crossed my mind that it could be like the examples you listed. Interesting. Josephine in on my list for still way far off, hypothetical children, but I'll have to keep that in mind!

I love Posey as a nickname for Josephine or Primrose! :D
