Date: 2011-02-02 03:57 am (UTC)I'm not a fan of Daxton either as it seems made up (which I believe it is?).

Date: 2011-02-02 04:19 am (UTC)Daxton sounds made up and...I find it ugly, tbh.

Date: 2011-02-02 10:24 am (UTC)Dexter would be nice, and sounds similar to Daxton but more...like a real name. Rex, Baxter, Axel, Max etc. are some other cool "x" names. If you want another "D" name, you might like: Dorian, Dimitri, Dominic, Drake (I think Drake and Dezz sound great together!), Declan, Derrick, Darren, Dane, Dino, Dean, Devon, David, Dustin

Date: 2011-02-02 03:49 pm (UTC)Why does one name have to be spelled differently (Deziree), and the other completely made up (Daxton?!)?
I honestly am curious what makes certain people lean toward uber-creative names and spellings.
That being said, if you are determined to name your son Daxton, I think Dez and Dax fit well as a sibset, considering.

Date: 2011-02-02 04:18 pm (UTC)Naming this little guy that's coming in May is 100% up to me, since I was too scared to name Deziree.. haha being 16 when I had her I never named anything more than my cat. But yeah, I got plenty of opinions now, and definately am not going with Dax.

Date: 2011-02-02 04:27 pm (UTC)I have always liked hearing new and unique names, but I always lean toward traditional simply because I dread having to constantly spell out or pronounce names for people.
I think going with something 'x' themed is still cute, and works with Dezz.
From previous suggestions, I think:
Dexter
Axel
Baxter
What is your husband's taste like? Maybe if we knew some names that he likes, we can help find common ground for both of you! =)

Date: 2011-02-02 06:03 pm (UTC)He's difficult.. Hes only named one of his other 3 kids and his name is Jessy. I wanted to do a D name but now I'm just hearing the same things over and over so I might just not even do a D name anymore.

Date: 2011-02-04 02:43 am (UTC)Personally, I think getting opinions is good, but take them with a grain of salt. ;) Name your child what you love and what feels right to you. If you want another D name, go for it!
