I desperately want a son to call Teddy someday. My husband loves it too.
The problem is, he hates Theodore.
I have tried to defend Theodore by going to my family and friends for backup...but they all dislike it/associate it with Alvin & the Chipmunks. Maybe I love the name because I never watched that show.
Anyway, I think just plain old Ted is boring as a name, and Teddy is too childish to be his given name.
To give you an idea of my taste in boys' names, favorites are:
Joseph, Emmett, Simon, and something with the nn Teddy.
Any suggestions to fit my style?

They've really gone out of style in the last decade, with the movies as an ultimately not long-lasting exception. Heck, I'm a teenager and I associate the name with the president before the chipmunk, because it didn't play a very big role in my childhood, or in the childhood of most of the people I know.

Jaxson
Aidan
Cayden
Carson
Ethan
Elijah
Dylan
So, they're all trendy name fans. I wish I had been more vocal about disliking THEIR name choices when I had the chance!
