I need middle names to go with "Alyssa"
It's finally a girls name that Scott and I have agreed on...  We've tried the following:

Lacey Jean
Emma Leighann
Emily Anne
Damey Donelle
Kailynn Taylor
.... and we just can't seem to both agree one on or a mixture of names...

He came to me tonight and said, "Ally... A-L-L-Y"  I said, "As in... Alley Cat?"  He goes, "Yeah!"  I said, "How about....  Alyssa..."  and he says, "Yup - I like Alyssa."

Now we need a middle name.

My middle name is Dawn
His mother's name is Dianne
My mothers name is Charlene
Grandmothers are Minnie Sue Howard and Norma Dell Hall (neither of the names I care for much..)

Alyssa Taylor?
Alyssa Leighann?
Alyssa Donelle?
Alyssa Dawn?
Alyssa Dianne?
Alyssa Lynn? (His sister and matchmaker in the first place)

Our last name is Lausch (Pronounced Losh.... like Lost with an h)

Just asked about Alyssa Lynn.. he likes it.  What do we think?

I second that Alyssa Rose sounds good.

I don't like Alyssa Lynn cause of the double ly- sound, but it has such significance, it makes sense.

Just on names alone, I like Alyssa Taylor or Alyssa Dawn.

that totally makes sense, and it's nowhere near as bad as other similiar sounding names i've heard

I have a neice named Emma Leigh. I think that's cute

And Alyssa Ellie, maybe? I think that's cute. But I don't know if you like it.

I'm drawn to the name Ellie for some reason. I don't know why. And of all things, my sisters stuffed elephant that she's had since she was two is named Ellie. But I really really like that name for some reason.

And I get where you would like Emma Leighann though, because it's more of a unique way of Emily Ann, because there's a lot of Emily Ann's, but I don't believe I've ever met a Emma Leighann in my entire life.

Alyssa is really pretty.

I'm partial to Alyssa Dianne because Diane is my mn and it has served me well. It's a nice pretty name that is rarely used and terribly underappreciated imo.

The significance of Lynn makes sense. I would really care for that combo otherwise. Lynn is a nice fn but a pretty dull mn. And Alyssa already has the ly sound in it.

Ultimately I don't think combo flow matters that much though. If you want to honor someone as a namesake I think you should decide which person, not which name you like. Jmo though.

Paired with the L in the last name though.. it's a mouthful.

Do you know the name Linnea? (lyn-NAY-uh) It's really pretty and would make use of Lynn. With a mn with no L sound, I think it would be really nice with your last name.

alyssa is great, lynn is ok, but ALyssa Lynn Lausch is an awful combination (sorry). If i had your last name I'd even hesitate at the repetition in Alyssa Lausch, but it is still ok. you definitely need a different middle name. perhaps you could save the name Lynn for a subsequent child?

Alyssa Paige
Alyssa Jean
Alyssa Rose
Alyssa Beth

I agree that Alyssa Lynn Lausch sounds like a tongue-twister, I'd definitely avoid the letter L occurring in the middle name

Isn't it such a trap to honor someone by giving the baby their mn? I always feel like if I use one grandparent's name, the other one might be offended (not that either of our parents would ever say that they were). gah. anyway, I totally understand what you mean, esp since his mom already has grandchildren.

I like:
Alyssa Nicole
Alyssa Kathryn
Alyssa Kathleen
Alyssa Karen
Alyssa Jordan
Alyssa Megan

I think I like the hard N sound at the end of these...

Alyssa Paige

but some other ones that would be nice:
Alyssa Kalina
Alyssa Dakota
Alyssa Chantal
Alyssa Gabrielle
Alyssa Johanna/Joanna
Alyssa Natalie
Alyssa Sophia
Alyssa Victoria

Alyssa Lynn is common, but there's nothing really wrong with it. It's just kind of hard to say with your last name.

Emma Leighann is SO cutesy, IMO.

Alyssa Nicole sounds pretty nice.
