I've always wondered how Isolde is pronounced. Can you shed some light on the situation?

Isolde is my favourite name at the moment - I've always imagined it pronounced as iz-old, but I'm not entirely sure. It just sounds pretty in my head :)

Harry - Too Harry Potter and too hairy (don't know if you're Brit or not, but in American English they sound the same, as I'm sure you're aware.)
Elliott - Love
Sebastien - I think I prefer the more common Sebastian. It's ok, a bit fussy imo.
Olivier - Prefer Oliver.
Julia - Lovely. I'd love it if it were less popular.
Isolde - A bit too dramatic for me.
Amy, Amelia - Love, love. Especially with Amy as a nn for Amelia.
Cressida - Interesting. Is it cress-EYE-da? cress-EE-da?
Grace - Overused and incredibly dull. I'm sick of it.
Abby/Abigail - Too popular and not especially appealing to me anyway.
Lily - Nms but fine
Imogen - Nice
Amèlie - Very stronly associated with the movie. I do love the movie though. It's ok, but I like Amelia better.
Aurélie - I'm not sure about the French pronunciation but in English it sounds too much like 'orally.'
Élodie - Love. One of my very favorites.
Camille - Makes me think of hurricanes.
Sophie, Isabelle - Too overdone, sick of both of them.
I don't know anything about Japanese names so I'm not going to both commenting on those.
oooh lots of comments!
Cressida/Amelia are my sister's two best friends that happen to be twins! It's more like CRESS-a-da. Everyone seems to love Amelia and Imogen.
I know one Imogen and she goes by Imi as a nn. Very cute, eh?
