when my aunt was pregnant, she and her husband didn't want to know the gender, and they didn't share their unborn child's name options with anyone. when i asked, i was answered "if it's a boy, we'll name him giligan and if it's a girl, she'll be ginger." (of course, i was at the age where i wasn't sure i should believe them or not, haha). they would also say that the girl would be velvet and a boy would be corduroy.

if you were trying to be secretive about names, what would you "name" your children?

(ps, they now have two daughters, blaire and jenna. their middle names are not ginger or velvet ;) )

if I did this-(I have a cousin who gets embroidered baby blankets as a gift)- I'd totally end up with a pink blanket that says "Sarah"

LOL oh dear. Didn't think of that, and I know some people who might be inclined to put a permanent name of a gift.
