Sep. 17th, 2010 11:49 pmwhen my aunt was pregnant, she and her husband didn't want to know the gender, and they didn't share their unborn child's name options with anyone. when i asked, i was answered "if it's a boy, we'll name him giligan and if it's a girl, she'll be ginger." (of course, i was at the age where i wasn't sure i should believe them or not, haha). they would also say that the girl would be velvet and a boy would be corduroy.
if you were trying to be secretive about names, what would you "name" your children?
(ps, they now have two daughters, blaire and jenna. their middle names are not ginger or velvet ;) )

I know MODG (http://wwww.martinisordiapergenies) refers to their unborn bundle of joy as "Plankton". My husband has said he will call our baby Squirrel, for whatever reason.

Date: 2010-09-19 03:46 pm (UTC)I think if I were to be questioned about my child's name and I didn't want to reveal it, I would definitely say "Melissa Jr." for a girl. I don't know what I would say for a boy. Maybe Kal-El or Jor-El.

And because his name (Aaron) sound so close to his mother's name (Sharron) we also joke our firstborn will be named Zaron or Baron.
