I've mentioned before that I have a female co-worker named Ashton. Apparently she's 20 years old. A few weeks ago, a new girl started--and I did a double take when I saw that her name is Ashton, too! She can't be much older than 16. Anyway, I just thought it was unusual to encounter more than one person with that name in the same place...I didn't think it was that common. Have any of you ever known more than one Ashton?

Also related to work, one of my customers had her daughter with her and called her Sadie. She was such a cutie! She was so happy and friendly, and kept trying to help hand me groceries from her miniature cart, even though she almost fell over with the weight of the milk gallon! I hadn't really liked the name up to that point, but...now it's kind of growing on me. Do you think it works as a name on its own, or just a nickname for Sarah? Could it be a nickname for any other "full" names?

Finally, I continue to do research on my family tree. One of my ancestors was referred to as Nora...and I found out the other day that it was actually short for Honora. WDYT? I'm hoping to hear a positive opinion, because I fell in love with it and was disheartened when my husband bluntly shot it down.
