Please comment with the area you live in/grew up in (whichever is more relevant to how you pronounce things) and the way you would pronounce this name:
My boyfriend says he'd say it like jay-ann but with a soft sounding French "j" so it would sound more like shay-ann but with a "j" sound. He was born in Montreal but moved when he was 3.
As for me, I'm not sure how to say it. I first wanted to say it like the French guys name "Jean" but I know that's not right.
