Today I came across several K names, or hard C sounding names.  What is up with this?  Do you think parents with K names feel a greater need to pass on the sound than other parents?

Examples:
Dad: Klay
Sons: Kalob, Kamdon, Kolbon

Dad: Kevin
Mom: Kayleen (Kay)
Sons: Cole, Cameron, Carter (yes, these are spelled correctly with c's, but still have the same sound)

Mom: Kathy
Kids: Karla, Kiel

I like them better when they spell them correctly. I especially hate names that are normally spelled with C's that parents INSIST on spelling with K's for no reason except to "pass on the letter." Ugh. It looks so TACKY.

So, in conclusion, the middle family is okay (I actually like all three kids' names, though I wouldn't use them all together in one family). The last one could be worse. But the first? HORRENDOUS.
