Oh man....

I was watching TLC and a family had triplets, two girls and a boy:

Jayden
Journee (f)
Jerzee (f)

Puzzlingly, this was a couple in their late 30's or early 40's with three teenagers who, as I recall, had perfectly nice and normal names.

(Edited since apparently it's not clear: I don't mean the names are weird because they're an older couple, I mean they're weird because the older kids DIDN'T get creatively spelled, ridiculous names, but the new ones did. Total taste change!)

Ew.

Maybe they let the teenagers choose the names? Otherwise I got nothing.

Because not only teenagers pick horrid names, it is - for the most part- a silly stereotype.

Gross

This is why I get tired of hearing people make snarky comments about what teenaged parents name their children. People in their 30s and 40s can and do give their kids names that are atrocious as well (and there are plenty of young parents who give their children perfectly nice names)!

Oh, I absolutely didn't mean to imply that you yourself thought it was weird because they were older! I was just talking about people in general who complain about teenagers giving their kids stupid names. I should have been clearer, sorry!

jerzee is horrible. journey would be better. i HATE when multiples all get the same letter or rhyming names. these are three separate kids!

Wow, Jayden actually got kinda lucky compared to his siblings!

Hahaha, I agree.

Hideous.

But I thought the y made it femynyne! Why not Jyrzy and Journy? *inserts sarcasm*

I'm surprised they didn't spell it Jaeden.

I had a friend who thought Journey was an adorable name for a girl. At the time (I regret speaking my mind now) I was a bit forward, and said, "Does she have a brother named AC/DC?" Even to this day, the name reminds me of the band.

That IS weird. Those names aren't my style at all, and the spellings of the girls' names are just horrible. Don't people see that these names are going to look and sound ridiculous on an adult someday?
