[identity profile] nothingtolose19.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] babynames
Hi guys, sorry this is so delayed. I'm now doing the boy's names that were on the babynames site. I'll put them all together, I think.

Here is the link to my second post, which contains a link to my first post, lol. Basically, it's a calculation of how many names are on the potential baby names lists made by users, to see the most popular ones.

So, without further ado:

The most popular name for boys is a tie between Henry and Oliver, with eleven mentions apiece.

There were nine each of Benjamin, Declan, and Ethan.

Eight of Easton, Levi, Liam, and Ryan.

Seven of Asher, Beckett, Evan, Finn, Graham, Griffin, James, Logan, Luke, Nolan, and Tristan.

Six of Cole, Connor, Jasper, Kieran, Nathaniel, Noah, Owen, and Zachary.

Five of Aidan, Callum, Carter, Charles, Corbin, Dylan, Elijah, Gabriel, Hudson, Jack, Landon, Malcolm, Mason, Miles, Samuel, Sebastian, and Seth.

Phew. Just one question ... well, actually, about a zillion I could ask, but why in the world would you name your kid Zero?!?! Hi, low self-esteem problem from BIRTH.  And I can't get over Cocoa - for a boy. Well, this person had it listed on white (for either/or) but they did have some for just girls and some for just boys, so I don't know, it seems like they purposely put it for either/or. Not that it's a great name for a girl, either... but for a boy? Seriously?

I couldn't disassociate it with 0
I agree with you on that. I feel like it's one of those names that when you're introduced to someone/a character with that name, it's no big deal, but when you consider it by itself, it's like, "No way, it has such-and-such connotation for me." (Or at least, the second part of that is true for me with a lot of names.)
