Discussion Post! Names You Hope(d) Never Become (or Became) Popular

Because you love them, of course! I'm a bit sad today because my favorite name Ariadne is the name of one of the main characters in Inception, so I'm hoping that nobody likes it enough to use often. So, members, what names do you hope/have you hoped never get the reply, "Oh, I've heard that before!"???

I'm a 1990 Jessica. It doesn't bother me though. I've run into surprisingly few Jessicas in my schools/activities/jobs

I am a 1986 Jessica, it was extremely popular that year so I always had at least 2 or 3 more Jessicas in every class I took during school :/

Yeah, it looks like you have 52,634 to my 46,459 births, though it was #1 both years. I'm also the type of person who doesn't really care about name uniqueness in general, so it has never bothered me even when I have encountered other Jessicas. Sorry you feel that way! I think Cecily is really pretty. :)

I was born in 1986 as well (but am not a Jessica). However, I graduated with quite a few of them, and my seventh grade social studies class was known as the "Michael and Jessica class" because it had, literally, six Michaels and, like, 5 Jessicas.

So, I feel you XD

My boyfriend is Michael. :P I guess our parents weren't very imaginative
