What's the most interesting, truly unique (not a 'creative' spelling, a food, etc) thing that you'd dare to name your kid?
If you don't like unique names, why not?

Can you tell I'm looking for name ideas? lol.

Nimue for a girl. I don't think I'd be *quite* brave enough. I "met" one recently (the daughter of someone who is one a photography message board I belong to) and that gave me more courage. He said people think it's weird at first, but later they all love it. And I think that's true with uncommon names in general. The just require a warm-up period.

My strangest boy name is actually my #1 choice, that I'd really use. Tavish.
