Jul. 13th, 2006 12:03 pmWhat's the most interesting, truly unique (not a 'creative' spelling, a food, etc) thing that you'd dare to name your kid?
If you don't like unique names, why not?
Can you tell I'm looking for name ideas? lol.
By the way of a side note, this community has 666 members. Scary.

Date: 2006-07-13 06:05 pm (UTC)Girl: my 'way-out' names for girls are almost all pretty traditional Italian girls' names, they're just a little bit too unusual in our culture (Concetta, my grandmother's middle name, for instance, or Giannina, which would get mispronounced to hell and back). The other odd one I like is Frideswide, who is the patron saint of our city. Her name is also rendered as Frevisse, Frithuswith, Fris, Fredeswida, but none of them are quite acceptable to me. But I really like the idea of using the name for a child born here - it means 'peace and strength'. Her mother's name was Safrida which I also like.
