Short and Simple

A friend of mine is currently expecting and the baby will have a very long last name (It's one of those long, Italian names with, I think, 12 letters.). Anyway, she's hoping to give the baby (a girl) a short, simple first name(under 5 letters).

This got me wondering, what are your favorite "short and simple" names? (for either gender)

Mine are:
Girls - Rose, Ava/Eva, Beth, Emma, and Joan
Boys - Owen, Ryan, and Seth

Pronounced "neev"? I know a woman named Niamh (yes, pronounced "neev"), but I've never seen the "Neve" spelling.

Yes, like 'neev'! Niamh is the original spelling, Neve the Anglicized one. I like both, but figured Neve would be easier to spell/pronounce. Like Neve Campbell (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000117/)!

My oldest son is Todd and the younger is Sean. Other names I liked but didn't use were Ian, Jack, Liam, Finn and Dean.

I think Ella, Jane and Tori are nice and simple for girls but I don't really pay attention to girl names since I only have boys ;)

Some of these are just shortened versions of longer names, haha. *shrugs*
*I think Sasha is normally a nickname, but some people use it as a full. ^^ I actually like it as a full, since my brother got Alexander. =/
