I thought I'd post my latest list of names here. Just a refresher: not expecting, not planning on expecting any time soon. I just like names, ones that usually fall into categories labeled as "classic" or "modern classic", and that are not made up or spelled to creatively. Popularity does not scare me away, either. Jack is a nickname for John?

It is. I don't know how, but it is. I like Jack better than John (too many negative connotations), but Jack is so frequently used as a nickname for John that I'd feel weird not using John.

How do you spell Hayley? The only other ways I've seen frequently are Hailey (which makes me think of hail) and Haley (which looks like it should be pronounced HAL-ee).

I've never heard of that.

Hailey is the more common spelling. I think I like it best.
There's also Haley, Hallie, Halley, Hailee, Hailie, Haylie, Haylee, Helie, Haleigh, Hayleigh. Did I even begin to cover them all? Aha.
