What do we think of Ophelia?

I love the sound of it, and I think it is slowly climbing my ranks...but are the connotations too tragic and strong? In America at least, the name is hardly ever used...the Shakespeare connection is probably too strong. But its such a lovely name!

Not bad. And no, connotations not strong enough. My husband won't let me use Antigone, though.

I know an Othelia and it's really grown on me (the th is hard, not like the English 'th'.. sounds like Oh-teal-ya..)
