I have a name that has been circling around in my head lately and it is Travis. What are your thoughts when hearing it? Do you like it?

i never liked travis. then i went to college and one of my dearest friends was named travis and changed my picture of the name. it still isnt a name id use anymore, but it doesnt have negative trashy connotations for me anymore either. :)

It's kind of a lite beer, mullet, sweaty wife-beater, truck rally name for me.

Oddly enough, my top choice for a boy name sounds very similar too it, but has entirely different connotations for me -- Tavish.

i think in a few years it will sound fresh again. i like its sound, but i place it in the context of justin/dustin/jason/derek, etc., and i think it needs a few years to age.

and it's definitely better than the common male T names (Tyler, Taylor) that have been used a lot on girls. I don't think you'd have that problem with Travis :)
