Jan. 1st, 2010 11:23 pmUsually news in my area does a story about the first baby of the new year. They mentioned her name :Emma and then went on to describe a story about another baby born on the way to the hospital.
The mother says she's been told that since she's struggling for a name for her new baby girl, she should name her after the street she (the baby) was born on: Scarlette Street.
The mother doesn't give a definitive answer.
What do you think about the name?
If you were named after the street you were born on/grew up on what sort of wacky name would you have?
Do you think its appropriate to be named after a street?

Date: 2010-01-02 03:29 am (UTC)The house my parents lived in when I was born was on Rowland ----, but we've lived on Michelle ---- since I was in Kindergarten. I get called Michelle occasionally, since my name is Melissa and people will forget it, kinda weird I guess.
The address for the hospital I was born in is the same as the city, as in North [Cityname] Road, so... ew. It's definitely not a suitable first name, I will just say that.
