Actress Mariska Hargitay and her husband, Peter Hermann, had a little boy yesterday. They named him August--no middle name has been released (as of yet.) So his name is August Hermann. I'm not sure if I'm a fan just yet.

According to babynames.com, August is German for "Revered, Exalted."

I like it in theory because I like keeping names true but the last name is terrible all by themselves
