The actress Leelee Sobieski just welcomed a daughter named Louisanna Ray.

...Thoughts?

The first name is way way too much. It looks like Louisiana and just, ew.

I think Louisiana is kind of pretty (prettier than Alabama or Dakota, at least), but the extra "n" is pointless. and I don't like Ray on a girl. all in all, it had potential but failed :/

It's not even Louisiana. It's just Louis anna.

oh, man. if I made that mistake after reading it several times, I can just imagine how many people will make that mistake throughout this kid's lifetime. poor girl.

I totally read it as Louisiana and it wasn't until I saw these comments and looked at it again that I realized it was something else. :/ Name fail.

Everyone is going to read it as Louisiana (like the state), and it's going to be mispronounced her whole life. It sounds very country to me also.

First thing I see: Louisiana.

Then... I can't decide how to pronounce it. Lewie-anna? Lew-anna? Loo-ees-anna? Lewis-auna? Loo-ees-auna?

And Ray is bad.

Oh man. I wish she'd just gone for Louisa. I'm guessing it's Louise-Anna in pronunciation? I wonder if she's honoring family members or something?

Dang...not sure if that is better or worse, certainly a mouthful, but at least it's obviously a nickname, that better.

WTF? I thought it was Louisianna and was horrified. This is worse because everyone will think it's Louisianna and the poor child will spend her whole life correcting people.

"Louisiana?!" D:
I thought it was Louisiana with an extra "n." I didn't even notice it -wasn't- until I read previous comments, lol. So it's what, Louie-anna? Lewis-anna/auna? Whatever it is, it's really bad and looks like a lot when written.

I knew a lady named Louisanna and she was a huge bitch, so it totally ruined the name for me even if it wasn't weird to begine with.

To add to the lulz, her last name was Louis.

I kind of like it, but I'd never use it.

It took me a couple tries to figure out it wasn't Louisiana, so I'm not sure what to think. I think I'd rather Louisiana, actually; Louisanna is just awkward to say and weird.

this exactly. Also, I prefer the spelling Rae for a girl (Rae is my middle name, so I may be biased LOL)

These were my thoughts, too. Ray seems so masculine to me--and with Louis in her name, it's even moreso.

I'm also curious as to the pronunciation. Lewis-anna or Louise-anna? Thank goodness she can go by Lulu if she wants...

I think Louisiana would have been better. At least stick a hyphen in there lady!
I thought it was Louisiana, just like everyone else, until I noticed the comments.
I think a nickname will be quickly made up as soon as the kid can manage it.
